Nehemiah: the Musical
In our broken world full of uncertainty, where we find ourselves looking to rebuild and reimagine what has been lost, this ancient story speaks to the heart of what true leadership looks like, the power of community and the hope that nothing is beyond repair.
Equipped with nothing but faith and a vision, Nehemiah embarks on a seemingly impossible journey, facing opposition from all sides, to build back better and restore the lost identity of a nation.
Written and composed by Naomi Lane, and directed by Anne-Christelle Zanzen, 'Nehemiah: the Musical' was first performed as an hour-long operatic showcase at the Richard Burton theatre in Cardiff.
LifeWorks is adapting the book and in the process of developing the piece into a full-length musical.
During the Co-Vid 19 pandemic, LifeWorks has been holding Zoom development workshops for Act 1.
Watch this space for news of an Act 1 live Showcase when restrictions permit.
